The Student Commission on Racial Justice (SCRJ) is a youth-led programme that works with colleges to support students to share their experiences of racial justice in education, influence change within their institutions, and contribute to wider systems change.

Since 2020, the SCRJ has worked with over 200 Student Commissioners and reached more than 23,000 students across England.

We are now recruiting a Project Co-ordinator to play a central role in the day-to-day delivery of the programme as it grows into Scotland and Wales, with thanks and support from The National Lottery UK Fund.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about youth voice, racial justice and social change. Working closely with the Project Manager, the successful candidate will support Student Commission groups, coordinate programme activity with colleges, and help ensure participation is safe, inclusive and meaningful.

To apply, please download the recruitment pack below or email Alev Zahir (alev@leaders-unlocked.org) to request an application form. Welsh‑language versions of the recruitment materials are also available below.

"In this world it’s difficult for young people to feel like they have a say or a voice, and increasingly it feels like the world we’re going to be left is pretty crazy… in the midst of that it feels like we’re doing something positive and we are taking ownership of the situation."
